What’s Happening on Campus
After returning from the summer break, students were pleased to discover air conditioning had been installed in the 100 building. The ASB started off the year by promoting a positive theme “walk a mile in your shoes “ as a way to teach empathy for others. The campus is growing and to make room for traveling teachers, four relocatable classrooms were added north of the baseball field. Our fall production was “The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland.” It got rave reviews. We also have a new student farm. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be October 16th at 10:00 am, and the Mayor of Chula Vista will be there to help celebrate. Coach Bannister started a new tradition where players honor a staff member with their jersey and ask them to escort them on the field. October 20th will be our 71st Homecoming game against Hilltop High, please join us and watch a good game of football. CVHS football has already upset CPHS and BVHS. You will also get to see one of the best halftime performances. Students spent their fall break working on homecoming props, sets and backdrops. Also keep track of the girls tennis team which is undefeated. That’s it for what What’s Happening on Campus today.
