The Dragon Lady may have been short, but, she was a strong personality and she had strict rules that we all followed. Some called her the Mayor of the 100 building. While very demanding, she had a knack for reaching out and connecting and motivating her students to excel and reach their potential.

She was a longtime resident of Chula Vista and was the daughter of one of the early mayors of Chula Vista. We all remember her dedication to the Nominating Convention and all we learned from her about government and politics. Those that were in her class always knew they would remember the Dragon Lady for the rest of their lives. She was special.
