Bobby Kennedy-Teacher, coach, varsity baseball coach

The beloved Bobby Kennedy was a hero to many students and the athletes he coached. As a coach and physical education teacher, he always treated his students with respect. He demanded that each student did their very best. He always gave them his very best. He was part of CVHS from the late 50’s until November of 2015.

Not only was Mr. Kennedy a great coach, he was also a great athlete. He played baseball at San Diego State(in their Hall of Fame) and played competitive softball until he was 89. He won over 20 national championship rings in Senior Softball. He is also in their Hall of Fame. Coach Kennedy is also in the San Diego County High School Coaching Legends. What a man!

There is a new Bobby Kennedy Scholar/Athlete award given each year to the athlete that best does things the way Coach did them, with class and dignity. There are not many like our Coach Kennedy.
