Gary Chapman

Gary Chapman-Class of 1963, Teacher, coach, Dean of Activities, Assistant Principal, Principal

Since graduating from Chula, Mr. Chapman has spent 34 ½ years of his life serving CVHS in different capacities. He treasures his time at Chula. It is a labor of love for him! He is extremely honored that he was selected “teacher of the year” 7times by the students. He is humbled by the induction into the CVHS Hall of Fame in 2008.

He is also the only employee in the district to ever have all the jobs above at the same site. Gary retired in 2006 as Principal of CV.

A few years ago, Gary and a strong group of interested Spartans began the process of starting the CVHS Foundation. Their efforts have provided support for the students at Chula and added items the school needed. This group is getting stronger and will be doubling their efforts to provide more for the deserving students at Chula.
